It's Raining Dimes!

Thank you to the first graders of Greencastle-Antrim for their work in collecting and donating dimes to our library. The total was a whopping $452.40, led by Mrs. Lehman's class, who brought in $87.00. We'll use the money to purchase materials for our children's collection.

H-E-A-R-T!

Valentine's was the theme for family night book bingo on Thursday. Aside from traditional bingo, families also played HEART. That's like regular bingo with a twist: you play on a heart-shaped card and yell "Heart!" if you win. Players also got to use candy hearts as markers. Sweet!

Next month's family game night is Pictionary on Thursday, March 12 from 6:00-7:00. All ages are welcome! Just please attend as a family!

"Dewey" We Know How to Find Library Books?

Some local homeschoolers do! Miss Laura taught a group of children today all about Melvin Dewey and the system he created to organize books. Did you know a young Melvin once organized his mom's pantry? Sounds like fun, uh? Yeah, the kids didn't think so either. The group learned how books are cataloged within the library system, and then were led on a scavenger hunt through the juvenile section to find a book on each topic.
