With a little instruction, a lot of cutting and some tying, a group of ladies made some very cool t-shirts at our teen Transform a T-shirt program. They each came up with a unique take on the designs they were given, so their creations are definitely one-of-a-kind. Sorry you missed it? Miss Rose led our 6-8-year-olds in a dance and movement class this morning at the library. The group learned the basics of several famous ballets, including Swan Lake, and got to dance to the music of each, as in this picture where they're dancing to portray swans. The group also learned about using dance to express different emotions.
Local teens got their graffiti on last Thursday. They used their own ideas and lots of spray paint to create new, flashy bookends for the teen area. ...billy goats, billy goats, munch, munch, munch! Besore's young patrons learned about one of the many storytelling arts in the 3-5-year-old program today—puppetry! They were treated to a live showing of the puppet play "The Three Billy Goats Gruff." Then they were able to make their own puppet stages and string puppets, so that they can return home to tell the story of the three billy goats and the evil troll.
