A
Book Club for You!
Greencastle, PA: Looking for
a night out with a friendly, interesting group?
Well, they are looking for you. The Lilian S. Besore Memorial Library
Book Club, founded in 1999, is always open to all men and women who enjoy
reading and sharing their ideas. :)
The Besore Book Club meets the
second Tuesday of every month, with 10 to 13 regular participants. Diverse
books are discussed. The club likes to think that “no genre should be left
‘unturned’ ”.
No registration is required. Just
show up. The meeting begins at 6:30 pm
and ends at 7:45 pm. The next meeting will be held on February 12, featuring
the book How the Irish Saved Civilization
by Thomas Cahill. Don’t miss out on this fascinating discussion of how the
Irish preserved and shaped both knowledge and culture in the shadows of the
Dark Ages. :)
